The Arc of East Central Iowa is excited to announce the registration process for our Summer Program for school aged individuals.
The Arc’s Summer Program is licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services with the primary purpose of providing a fun, safe, and structured environment for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs.
Individuals eligible to attend must be between the ages of 4 and 21 years old and be attending school or a transition program next fall.
Our weekly thematic plans and field trips will give your child the opportunity to learn new skills and develop new friendships throughout the summer.
Please read all information carefully to understand the details of The Arc’s Summer Program. Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2025. Further information can be found in the Parent/Guardian Handbook linked below.
Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis for all eligible individuals able to be in a group ratio. There is very limited space for individuals needing 1-on-1 care.

* These dates are dependent upon the Cedar Rapids School District schedule.
HOURS OF OPERATION
8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday (Closed Friday, July 4th)*
* Children who attend the Daycare Program year-round may attend during their normal hours.
TUITION AND FEES
Tuition: The Arc of East Central Iowa accepts HCBS Waiver Respite, Private Pay, Childcare Assistance (CCA), Grants, and School Funding: however, only one payment option will be accepted per day.
Activity Fee: $100.00 to cover the cost of field trips and program supplies. This payment is due to finalize your child’s placement into The Arc’s Summer Program. This fee will be collected via direct pay form.
Registration: Please begin by clicking on the “GET REGISTERED” button below and completing the form. You will then receive additional paperwork from ArcDaycare@arceci.org that will need to be returned as soon as possible, but before April 30, 2025.
Completion of this registration does not guarantee a spot; your child will be placed on our waitlist until you receive further notice via email.
