The Arc of East Central Iowa is excited to announce the registration process for our one and only Summer Program for school aged individuals.

The Arc’s Summer Program is licensed by the Department of Human Services with the primary purpose of providing a fun, safe and structured environment for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Individuals eligible to attend must be between the ages of 5 and 21 years old and be attending school or a transition program next fall.

Our weekly thematic plans and field trips will give your child the opportunity to learn new skills and develop new friendships throughout the summer. 

Please read all information carefully to understand the dates, rules, and regulations of our program. Applications will be accepted through April 5, 2024; however, space is limited. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis for all eligible individuals able to be in a group ratio. There is very limited space for individuals needing 1:1 care.

*These dates are dependent upon the Cedar Rapids School District schedule. The Arc will contact families as soon as possible if there are any schedule changes. 

HOURS OF OPERATION

7:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday (Closed Thursday, July 4th)

TUITION AND FEES

Tuition: The Arc of East Central Iowa accepts HCBS Waiver Respite, Grants, Childcare Assistance, and Private Payment: however, only one payment option will be accepted per day.

Activity Fee: $100.00 due upon confirmation of placement into the program. The final date to pay the activity fee is Friday, April 19, 2024.

Registration: Please begin by clicking on the “GET REGISTERED” button below and completing the form. You will then receive additional forms and instructions via email that will need to be returned to The Arc as soon as possible, but before April 5, 2024.
