A Family Peer Support Specialist is a person who is a caregiver of a person living with behavioral health challenges and has experience navigating systems of care. This position will support families to plan and implement services.

The Family Peer Support Specialist will be a good listener who can provide emotional support to families by supplying information about behavioral health and development, and community resources. Additionally, this person will offer skill‐building for parents that enhances resiliency, communication, advocacy, and other areas affecting the ability to maintain an individual with complex needs in the home, school, and community.
