A Family Peer Support Specialist is a person who is a caregiver of a person living with behavioral health challenges and has experience navigating systems of care. This position will support families to plan and implement services.

The Family Peer Support Specialist will be a good listener who can provide emotional support to families by supplying information about behavioral health and development, and community resources. Additionally, this person will offer skillā€building for parents that enhances resiliency, communication, advocacy, and other areas affecting the ability to maintain an individual with complex needs in the home, school, and community.
