This year, the Gazette has partnered with The Arc of East Central Iowa and other area organizations to welcome a new Festival of Trees event!
Festival of Trees Sensory Day
Friday, November 15
1:00 – 6:00 PM
in the old Younkers space at Lindale Mall.
Admission is $5 for adults 18+, and free for 17 and younger with the donation of a non-perishable food item. Tickets may be purchased in advance on The Gazette’s ticket website or purchased at the event entrance.
What is Sensory Day? The Festival of Trees sensory-friendly experience is designed to provide an accessible and welcoming experience for people with sensory sensitivities, and other social, learning, or cognitive disabilities. Sensory Day’s venue will have additional space to accommodate attendees wanting to take in the experience at their preferred pace. Patrons will notice adjusted lighting and sound levels, designated space away from high traffic/programmed areas, and additional exit options.
Please join us for this new and exciting Festival of Trees event and enjoy beautifully decorated trees, visit with Santa, arts and crafts activities, and more! Visit the Festival of Trees website for full details about Sensory Day, along with the full weekend celebration.
