The Arc of East Central Iowa is proud to present Disney’s “Growing Up” series created by Brie Larson and Culture House. This innovative hybrid docu-series explores the challenges, triumphs, and complexities of adolescence through compelling coming of age stories. Our viewing party will showcase Episode 4 of the series: Emily. Emily is a young woman who utilizes a wheelchair and shares her path of self-advocacy. The viewing will be followed by a 30-minute small group discussion.
This event is highly recommended for individuals diagnosed with a disability, families, staff, and community members.
