9/11 Day of Rememberance

The Arc of East Central Iowa and United Way of East Central Iowa would like to formally invite you to attend our 9/11 Day of Remembrance event to support vulnerable populations in eastern Iowa in the event of a crisis or disaster.

On September 9th from 9am – 10:30am, we will be preparing emergency kits in four designated packing locations in Benton, Cedar, Jones, and Linn County. During the event, there will be a short presentation by a leader in your community on the importance of emergency preparations in moments of crisis, followed by your help in building emergency kits to be distributed out to vulnerable populations. Every kit built at the designated location will be distributed to individuals in their respective county.

If you would like to participate as a volunteer on September 9th, please email Kristen Krambeer at kkrambeer@arceci.org. In your email include your name, preferred email address, number of volunteers in your group, and county (Benton, Cedar, Jones, or Linn) location you wish to participate at. If you are a business and wish to host a separate emergency kit build event, please email your business name, preferred email address, number of staff volunteers, and company address for kit material delivery and pickup.
