The Peer Support Specialist is a person who is living well in recovery, who has experienced a loss of a significant role in his/her life due to the experience of Serious Mental Illness. If you have experience with a behavioral health disorder which previously had significant impact on your social and/or vocational adjustment, we encourage you to apply. 

In this role you will encourage members to take control of their own health and wellness and to promote the concept of “whole-health”, act as a role model of hope, personal responsibility, active engagement in education, self-advocacy and connection to community supports, support individuals in utilizing goal setting processes to further their recovery, choosing services that help them reach their goals and dreams and provide resources and referrals to community and social support services.
