Since 1953, The Arc of East Central Iowa has worked diligently to increase community awareness for people with disabilities. Every March, National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is celebrated around the country. The Arc participates by hosting an annual awareness walk called, The Arc March.
The Arc March provides an opportunity for individuals with disabilities, family members, friends, and advocates to march in an effort to raise awareness and support for people with disabilities.
The Arc's 12th Annual Awareness Walk will take place in March 2009 at Lindale Mall. The date & time will be announced in early 2009.
